The 2017 Annual Banquet was held on January 21, 2017, at Chateau Elan.

May 24th @The Legends — ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Golf Tournament last year was June 11th 2014 @ the The Legends, Chateau Elan.  Sponsor of this event was BRANDBANK.  Other Sponsors were Besco Steel Supply and Republic Services and Community & Southern Bank.

We had 120 players and the day was perfect.

Registration began at 8:30 am and the Tournament began at 10 am.  The Awards Reception was held at 3:00 pm.

AUGUST18th 2016 — BUSINESS AND HOME EXPO @ YMCA

The Business & Home Expo 2016   The expo opened to the general public from 11:00 pm until 3:00 pm. This once a year opportunity allows over 45 exhibitors to showcase their business under one roof. We have had thousands of people visit the Expo and each year the attendance grows.

September 28th – 2016 — SPORTING CLAYS SHOOT

Last year’s Sporting Clays Tournament was held Wednesday, September 28th.  The shoot was at Etowah Valley Sporting Club in Dawsonville, GA.  We had both men and women shooters.

First American Bank and Trust was the sponsor this year. Registration began at 11:00 am.  Lunch was served at 11:30 am and the Tournament began at noon and lasted until 4:00 pm.

Participants had time to network, develop relationships with clients, and market their businesses all in a beautiful outdoor setting.

NOVEMBER 2016 — ISSUES AND EGGS

The Barrow County Chamber presents the annual Eggs & Issues Breakfast, sponsored by Jackson EMC, each December.  The 2013eggs and issue 2 Terry England breakfast featured State Rep. Terry England, Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, as the guest speaker.  Chm. England presented the proposed budget, and enlightened the attendees on budgetary procedures for the upcoming legislative session, beginning in January 2014.

The Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee presented to the county’s legislative delegation the committee’s areas of concern for the upcoming session, and welcomed state leaders as they each gave a short update on their outlook going into the session.

Over 100 business and government leaders attended the Eggs & Issues Breakfast.  First started in 2005, the Eggs & Issues Breakfast, presented annually by Jackson EMC, has been the source of information for state legislative and executive branch leaders leading up to the legislative session in Atlanta.

 

 

NOVEMBER 16th 2016 — BUSINESS WOMAN OF THE YEAR LUNCHEON

This years Speaker will be, Rhonda Rich

Barrow County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Council. The Council established this award to bring awareness of the outstanding accomplishments of women in business and what role they play in the workforce of Barrow County.

The award showcases a women who lives in Barrow County or works in Barrow County who has excelled in business, demonstrated advancements in her career and professional development and who has made a difference in Barrow County.

The last Luncheon was held November 13th, 2014 at the Georgia Club.  Our Sponsor for this event was Women’s Pavilion of Barrow Regional Medical Center.  This year’s winner was Mace Strickland.  Pictured below with Speaker, Monica Kaufman.
